Spring?

We are really itching for spring around here, as I'm sure everyone else is! Here are a few things that have been going on in little ol' Montpelier, ID.Molly got "Reader of the Month" for the 1st grade classes. She loves to read! She is into the infamous Junie B. Jones books and finds them quite hilarious.

Brigham turned 4 on March 24th. He got lots of cool John Deer trucks and construction rigs. He loves to watch machines at work when we spot construction on the highway. He is so smart and knows what each truck does!

Here is the cute bag grandma made for him...it was filled with all different kinds of cars. Thanks grandma!

We made our way to Boise for spring break. I think we brought the cruddy weather with us because it was anything but spring while we were there! We did have fun with family and that was the most important, right? Here are some pics from the easter egg hunt at the McKeeth's. It was so great for the cousins to see each other.

Uncle Gary had hidden dollar bills in some of the eggs--a tradition held by this awesome family. My kids thought they had hit the motherload! Can we come back next year??? They had to be tied together to make it a bit more interesting--so fun!

SUPER BRIGHAM!

So here is Brigham in all his superhero glory. I must explain all the functions of his outfit

1-goggles...just in case

2-the monkey around his back (you can just see his hands around his waist) is his "jetpack"

3-cape...needs no explanation. it's for flying.

4-cowboy boots...his "jetboots" that have fire coming out of them to make him fast.

Boy I love this little guy!

monster update

The past 3 months have been a whirlwind! We are enjoying life with a new baby! It's amazing how something so small can create such joy, even through the hard sleepless nights and a bit of colic to boot! Here are a few highlights from the last little bit...

Christmas!
Grandma and Grandpa Visit (Spence got contacts...so handsome!)
Molly turns 7!Doing lots of this...

Spence started basketball and loved it! He improved alot during his season. Bill enjoyed coaching the boys!
Grandma and Jake enjoying the game!Blessing Day--what a beautiful blessing Bill gave to Jacob. It was a great day! Molly said a special prayer that Jake wouldn't cry--and he didn't! All smiles! We love it when Jake is smiley and happy! He's starting to interact alot more which is super fun. He is a cutie boy and we love him!

So there you have it...hopefully I will update a bit more frequently! We are so lucky to have great friends and family. We have recieved so much love and help--we are truly blessed.

Baby Jacob has Arrived!

Well, I am writing this on my original day i was scheduled to deliver our new little man...however, he is already 8 days old!! Yup, he was ready to come to our house a bit earlier than expected.

On December 8, Bill, me and the two boys drove to SLC and back to pick up our sweet new crib and dresser for Jacob's nursery. We ran into heavy snow and yuck and pretty much picked the worst day ever to make a "quick run" and back!! After unloading and setting up the dresser, getting some baby clothes out to wash the next day, I went to bed feeling excited about the new purchase and the thought of being all ready and organized before the big arrival. However, there were other plans in the works I guess!! At about 1:30 AM I started having some contractions. Then after tossing and turning in bed, my water broke and then the contractions started to be about 3 minutes apart....yeah, no turning back! We made it to the hospital (thank goodness it is only like 2 minutes away, and all the while I was thinking, "I am seriously having this baby!!" They got me my epidural--HALLELUJAH--and got me ready for surgery.

He was born Dec. 9th @ 4:22AM
Weight 7 pounds 9 ounces
Length 19 1/2 inches
He is such a sweet little guy. The kids love him and are always anxious to help with the holding!! We were so suprised he came early, but we wouldn't have had it any other way!!
Welcome to the world Jacob Howard Jensen! We love you!

Halloween 2009

Another fun Halloween! We got to attend Brigham's preschool program to start off our festivities. He was great at belting out all the songs and did some great dance moves as well. (He is super mario--he said to his teacher when he arrived that morning, "Just so ya know, the mustache isn't real." Thanks Brigg--I was wondering about your keen ability to grow facial hair at age 3!!The kids got tons of candy at the ward trunk-or-treat (a truly inspired activity--done with trick-or-treating in less than an hour, awesome. now if all other meetings would be that efficient!) Here are the little munchkins in their get-ups!

Aren't they crazy?? And to think this was BEFORE all the sugar intake! Hope your Halloween was great too!!

Family Pics 2009

So my amazing niece Heather Walker took our family pictures last month. She of course did a beautiful job. We are so pleased! If any of you reading this are in the Provo area, I'd be happy to give you her information to book a session with her!! Thanks again Heather!!

Long Time

I can't believe that it has been over a month since I posted. One word....SLACKER! Today is a bit overcast and rainy so I thought it was the perfect day to do some updates before some exciting days come upon us!

1. Molly lost her 1st and 2nd tooth on the same day. She went to the dentist for a teeth cleaning and he popped out the first one. Then while upstairs she did the 2nd one on her own!! I love her toothless smile. This just means she is growing up huh?

2. Double didgets. Yup, we officially have a 10-yr.old in the house. Spence had a great birthday Oct. 1. We had 4 of his buddies over for banana splits and a movie. Good fun!! We love Spence so much. He is a big help with the kids, so so smart at school and is constantly active with sports and piano. He's a great little guy!!!
3. Brigg being Brigg. I couldn't resist putting up a pic of him too. 4. Molly is in student council for her 1st grade class. One of the perks is getting to ride on the homecoming parade float for the elementry school. She had a great time! (She is in the light pink sweater)

5. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?? Spence started flag football this year and loves it! I'm suprised at how much this stuff is already ingrained in a boys head. He was pretty intense and played his heart out at every game!
Baby Update...So I'm getting increasingly large these days. We are getting so excited for our new little addition. I am not nearly as organized and prepared up to this point as I'd like to be, but that is okay. (Listen to how relaxed that sounds....) Brigg loves to kiss my belly on a daily basis. I am really cherishing our alone time together before baby comes. My favorite is after naps when we get to snuggle on the couch and read books together before the big kids get home. I really am finding joy in the little things lately and trying not to worry about things that don't really matter. It's been good for the ol' soul!

Till next post....and I promise it won't be another month and a half!
