Seattle

Ahhhh...I love vacations. Especially when they involve a very cute husband and no crazy kids. Don't get me wrong. I love to take trips with the monkeys, but every now and then it's good to have a break. Right? Bill was doing some CME up in Seattle last week and I got to go meet him for a couple of days. It was great!! We met his sister J'Nette and her husband Norm for dinner at the downtown Cheesecake Factory. It was super yummy! We had a great time with the Mitchells--we laughed and laughed about childhood memories, crazy sacrament meetings (thumbs up!) and boy that brown bread was good.
The next day was spent sight-seeing. It was so nice to take our time and not have to worry about naps, hungry kids, bored kids, you get the idea. We went to the top of the Space Needle (we even got a little sun that day)

Pike's Market was awesome--saw the guy throw fish and crabs. I couldn't get over all the yummy produce. It was awesome. There were of course the interesting characters singing on the corner, some wierd old clown selling balloon animals, Greenpeace activists wanting us to change the world, etc. but I loved every minute of it!

We ate some spectacular seafood at Ivar's (I am now a crabcake lover), did some fun shopping and just enjoyed being together!!

What did the kids do while we were away you ask?? Grandma and Grandpa were kind enough to come and spoil them rotten. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!

Until next time...

Oh good for you. I'm certain that there is nothing better than getting away from the little ones for a couple of days. It's also nice to know that they are with someone who loves them.
