July

We have had a great month with some fun summer trips! We got to go up to McCall to be with some of Bill's family over the 4th of July. It was so much fun to relax, eat yummy food and especially to be with family. Thank you Cathy for hosting (or hostessing). It is always such a ball at the cabin!!Spence manning the boat!
Me and Molly manning the dock
Brigg lovin the jet-ski with dad!

Yellowstone was another fun July happening. We loaded the kids up in the car on friday and headed out! We went through Jackson Hole and rode the tram up up up...it was a gorgious view fof the tetons from the top. We all loved those teton mountains--I told Bill, "I just can't stop looking at them!!" After Jackson, we drove up to grants village campground to our campsite. We were all a little hungry and ready to be settled for the night. They had encountered 8 bears since the beginning of the season in that campground, so we were all very vigilant about putting all our food in the car and keeping our site clean!! After roasting hot dogs and smores we tucked in for a bear-free night (thank goodness). We woke up for a full day of touring...old faithful and the grand canyon of the yellowstone. We had a blast and the kids loved it. We think we will make it a yearly tradition since it is so close to us!

Here we are getting ready to board the tram--yah, that baby goes all the way up!

It was a bit windy at the top!!Jiffy Pop! The Old Faithful Inn was amazing--we'd love to stay there someday! Artist Point at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone! Amazing!

FUN! I love the mountains too (and miss them). Looks like you had fun roughing it. We took a similar trip to Tahoe earlier this summer, but chickened out and stayed in a cheap casino instead of camping. Fun family pics of all your BIG kids! Can't believe how fast they grow up.

Those look like great trips. Two of my favorite places. Sounds like it has been a good summer.
